Trouble finishing signup

Three different things can go wrong on the way to a working account. Here’s what each one means and what to do.

If you submitted the signup form and got a message that we couldn’t complete it, nothing was charged and no account was created — you’re not stuck with a half-created account, and it’s safe to try again.

If it happens a second time, contact support and include the reference code shown on the error (starts with SR-SIGNUP-01). That code tells us exactly which step failed, so we can look into it instead of asking you to describe what happened.

After you submit the signup form, the “Check your email” page says a link is on its way to the address you gave. It can take a few minutes. If it still isn’t there:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.
  2. If the address on the page has a typo, choose “Wrong email address?” on that page, correct it, and we’ll send the link there.
  3. Otherwise choose “Resend email” on that page once its timer has run out.
Section titled “The “finish setting up your account” link doesn’t work”

Signing up sends a link to your email address, and your account is created when you open it and choose a password. The link is single-use and expires after 24 hours. If you click it and see a message that it’s invalid or expired:

  1. Go back to the signup page and enter your email address again — a fresh link will be sent.
  2. If you’re sure you only used the link once and it still won’t work, contact support with the reference code from the error (starts with SR-SIGNUP-02).

Contact support — if you have a reference code from an error message, include it. It’s the fastest way for us to see exactly what happened rather than guessing from a description.
