SurveyMonkey Pricing in 2026: Every Plan, and What It Really Costs

SurveyRock Team · · 5 min read

SurveyMonkey’s cheapest paid plan is Advantage Annual, at $39 a month billed annually, which is $468 a year. Its only plan billed monthly is Standard Monthly, at $149 a month. Team plans start at $30 per user a month, with a 3-user minimum and annual billing, so the smallest team pays $1,080 a year.

These are US list prices from SurveyMonkey’s US pricing page, checked 24 September 2026. We re-read its plans, limits and overage rules on 2 November 2026. SurveyMonkey sets prices by country, so yours may differ.

Every SurveyMonkey plan

Plan Price Real yearly cost Responses Users
Basic Free $0 Limited per survey 1
Standard Monthly $149/month, billed monthly $1,788 1,000 a month 1
Advantage Annual $39/month, billed annually $468 15,000 a year 1
Premier Annual $139/month, billed annually $1,668 40,000 a year 1
Team Advantage $30/user/month, billed annually $1,080 for 3 users 50,000 a year 3+
Team Premier $92/user/month, billed annually $3,312 for 3 users 100,000 a year 3+

The yearly totals for Standard and the team plans are our arithmetic: 12 months, multiplied by 3 users for team plans.

What each plan adds

  • Basic gives you unlimited surveys with 10 questions each. You can view a limited number of responses per survey, and SurveyMonkey shows the exact number only after you sign up.
  • Standard Monthly adds unlimited questions, skip logic, email invitations and data exports.
  • Advantage Annual adds Analyze with AI, statistical significance testing and accepting payments.
  • Premier Annual adds white-label branding, crosstabs, block randomization and phone support.
  • Team plans add shared brand assets, user roles and permissions. Team Premier adds the same white-label and crosstab features as Premier.

Where the real cost comes from

The headline price is rarely the whole bill. Five things to watch.

Annual billing. “$39 a month” is $468 up front. Only Standard is billed monthly. In the US, its $149 a month is nearly four times Advantage’s $39.

Overage. On paid plans, response limits count across all your surveys and users. Go over and you pay $0.15 for each extra response. A survey that runs 2,000 responses over costs $300 more. Responses you delete still count towards overage, and unused responses don’t roll over.

Your branding. Removing SurveyMonkey’s branding starts at Premier Annual, $1,668 a year, or Team Premier, $3,312 a year for 3 users. On Advantage, your respondents still see SurveyMonkey’s branding.

Seats. Everyone who collaborates needs their own account or seat. You can’t buy a team plan for two people, and if you invite more people than you have seats, you’re charged a prorated overage.

Stopping. If you turn off auto-renew, you drop to the free plan at the end of your billing cycle. SurveyMonkey says responses over your Basic limit that are older than 365 days will be deleted. Its help center also says you can’t export after you downgrade, so export first.

What a response costs on each plan

Divide each plan’s yearly price by its yearly responses, and the plans look quite different. These figures assume you use every response.

Plan Yearly price Yearly responses Cost per response
Standard Monthly $1,788 12,000 $0.15
Advantage Annual $468 15,000 $0.03
Premier Annual $1,668 40,000 $0.04
Team Advantage (3 users) $1,080 50,000 $0.02
Team Premier (3 users) $3,312 100,000 $0.03

If you only need a survey for a month or two, Standard Monthly lets you avoid a yearly commitment. If you survey all year, the annual plans cost far less per response.

Which plan fits

  • One small survey, no logic: Basic, if its limits work for you.
  • One project, then done: Standard Monthly.
  • One person surveying through the year: Advantage Annual.
  • You need SurveyMonkey’s branding removed: Premier Annual.
  • Three or more people sharing work: a team plan.

Stay with SurveyMonkey if your surveys depend on click maps or survey A/B tests, you want phone support, or your organization already runs on it. We don’t offer phone support or A/B tests of the survey itself.
