For People Ops and HR

The pulse survey tool with anonymous responses on every plan.

Anonymous employee surveys on any plan, including Free. Start from a ready-made pulse template, send it on a schedule, and on Growth let SurveyRock turn every comment into themes and a summary for leadership. Every new account gets 14 days of Growth, no credit card required.

A pulse survey only works if people answer honestly, and they only answer honestly if they believe it's anonymous. Then the comments arrive. Two thousand of them, the most useful part of the survey and the part nobody has time to read. Meanwhile the engagement platforms built for this start with a demo, a quote and an annual contract.

So the pulse runs once, the comments sit unread, and the next one never goes out.

Built for employee feedback people will give

Anonymous responses on every plan, including Free

Switch on "Collect responses anonymously" for any survey, on any plan. New responses are saved with no link to the invited employee and no IP address, browser, device or location. Once responses arrive the setting can't be switched back off, so nobody can quietly change the rules mid-survey.

Small teams stay hidden in the reports

On an anonymous survey, any filtered view (by team, answer, date or link) is refused unless at least 5 completed responses match. Raise it to 7, 10, 15 or 20 per survey; it can't be lowered once responses exist. It applies on every plan, with no admin override.

A pulse template ready to send

The employee engagement pulse is a three-minute survey: a few agreement statements, an eNPS question ("How likely are you to recommend this company as a place to work?") and one open comment for leadership. Eight more employee templates sit beside it, from onboarding to exit interviews. Edit any of them to fit your team.

A pulse that runs on a schedule

Share a link on any plan. From Solo, send email invitations with reminders that go only to people who haven't finished; on an anonymous survey, SurveyRock shows you counts, not the names on a reminder list. Post the link in Slack or Teams from Team, and on Growth set the campaign to repeat weekly, monthly or quarterly.

Themes from every comment

On Growth, SurveyRock groups each open-text question's answers into themes, tags every answer's sentiment and writes a summary, with personal details masked before the text reaches the AI model. It also drafts an executive summary of a period's feedback for leadership, and Theme Impact shows which themes come up most often among your lowest- and highest-scoring respondents.

From result to owner

Turn a theme into an action with an owner, a due date and the score it started from, and SurveyRock emails a daily digest of what's due. Actions are on every plan (three open at a time on Free). On Growth, key driver analysis shows which statements move most closely with eNPS.

How a pulse runs in SurveyRock

  1. Start from the pulse template.

Edit the statements to fit your team, and switch on anonymous responses before you send. Add a team or location question if you want breakdowns.

  2. Send it, then let it repeat.

Share the link anywhere, or from Solo send email invitations with reminders that skip people who have finished. On Growth, set the campaign to go out again every month or quarter.

  3. Read the themes, not 2,000 comments.

On Growth, open the themes and the drafted summary, take the biggest one to leadership, and give it an owner and a due date.

Run your next pulse on Growth, free for 14 days.

No credit card. Anonymous responses stay on every plan, and if you don't pick a paid plan the account moves to Free with your surveys and responses intact.

Questions

Are the responses really anonymous?

Only if you turn it on: "Collect responses anonymously" is off by default and set per survey, on every plan, so switch it on before you send. With it on, new responses are saved with no link to the invited contact and no IP address, browser, device or location. Some records still exist outside the response: SurveyRock keeps the day each email invitee finished (the exact time only if you add a thank-you email timed from completion), so reminders can skip them, and our server access logs record visitors' IP addresses. Filtered views need at least 5 completed responses, but whole-survey results, including every comment, can be read by anyone whose role can view responses, and two filters that differ by one person can still isolate that person. Don't send one link per person. The full detail is on our Culture Amp comparison.

Which plan does a pulse program need?

Free covers an anonymous survey shared by link: 100 responses a month, 10 questions per survey, 3 surveys. Solo ($35/mo) adds email invitations with reminders and contact import from CSV. Growth ($179/mo) adds recurring campaigns, AI themes and sentiment on comments, drafted executive summaries, key driver analysis and crosstabs. It's the plan we'd recommend for a running engagement program.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

Every new account gets 14 days of Growth with no credit card. Trial sending is capped at 500 email recipients per rolling 24 hours. If you don't choose a paid plan, the account moves to Free when the trial ends. Your data stays either way.

Can we measure eNPS?

Yes. The pulse and eNPS templates include the 0-to-10 "How likely are you to recommend this company as a place to work?" question, reported as promoters, passives and detractors. On Growth, key driver analysis shows which of your statements move most closely with it once you have at least 30 complete responses.

Does SurveyRock connect to our HRIS?

No. From Solo you import employees as contacts from a CSV to send invitations. Breakdowns by team, location or tenure come from questions you add to the survey; on an anonymous survey, keep each group at five or more respondents.

Where is employee data stored, and is SurveyRock certified?

Primarily in the EU (AWS Stockholm). Some sub-processors process limited data in the US, including the AI providers behind theme detection and summaries, and survey content is not used to train AI models unless you opt in. SurveyRock holds no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification today; both are on our roadmap. A DPA is available self-serve.
