NPS software

NPS software that turns the score into a follow-up

Send the Net Promoter Score question where your customers already are, see where the score sits, find out why people gave it, and make sure somebody acts on it.

No credit card. Every new account starts with 14 days of Growth.

The score is the easy part

Any survey tool can ask "How likely are you to recommend us?" and work out a score. The harder questions come after. Is 32 good for a company like yours? Why did the detractors say no? And who calls them back this week? SurveyRock treats NPS as four jobs: ask, read, understand, follow up. Here is what each one looks like, and which plan it needs.

NPS survey distribution

Ask where your customers already are

A link or QR code on every plan. Email invitations with reminders, and an inline, popup or slider survey on your site, from Solo. A ready-made Slack or Teams message from Team. Recurring quarterly sends from Growth. Not yet: SMS and WhatsApp.

Skip and display logic by score

A different follow-up for each group

The logic reads the 0 to 10 answer, so detractors can be asked what went wrong and promoters what they'd tell a friend. From Solo.

AI follow-up questions

Get more than three words

When someone's reason is too short to act on, an AI follow-up question asks them for more, in the survey, while they're still answering. From Growth.

Promoters, passives and detractors

See where your score sits

Every plan shows the score and the share of promoters, passives and detractors behind it. Under it, the typical range for your industry in published studies, with your score and its margin of error placed on it. Below or above the range is only called when the whole margin is, and never before 30 responses. The range is the spread between studies, not a SurveyRock benchmark or an average of companies.

Period-over-period comparison

See whether it moved

From Team, compare each NPS card with the previous week, month or quarter: the score and all three groups, with small samples labelled. Filter by any answer and the score recalculates, and share it as a PDF or a results link. From Growth, up to 12 periods with a test of whether a change could be chance, and comparison with an earlier survey, even if the wording changed.

Themes and sentiment

Find out why people gave the score

SurveyRock groups the comments into themes, tags each answer's sentiment and writes a summary, so you don't tag them by hand. From Growth. Word frequency and keywords start on Team.

Theme Impact and key drivers

See what sits behind the low scores

Theme Impact shows which themes detractors mention more than promoters. Key drivers rank which of your other questions move together with the score, such as onboarding, support or price: where to look, not proof of cause, and no answer when the data can't support one. Both from Growth.

Low-score Slack alerts

Hear about a detractor the day they answer

A ready-made workflow posts to the Slack channel you pick when someone answers 6 or below: the score, the survey and who answered, and you can add their comment. From Team.

Closed-loop follow-up with Actions

Give every follow-up an owner

Turn a respondent's answers, a theme or a key driver into an Action with an owner and a due date, and owners get a daily email of what's due. Raised from a theme or driver (Growth), it shows the number then and now once 30 more responses are in, labelled movement, not proof. Free keeps 3 open; Solo and up, no limit. The reply to your customer comes from your team.

How it works

Four jobs, one place

  1. 1

    Ask

Start from the NPS template or add the question to any survey, and send it by email, link, QR code or embed.

  2. 2

    Read

The score fills in as answers arrive, with the three groups behind it and the typical range for your industry beside it.

  3. 3

    Understand

Comments become themes with sentiment, and key drivers point to the questions that move with the score.

  4. 4

    Follow up

A low score alerts Slack, and an Action gives the follow-up an owner and a due date.

When SurveyRock isn't the right NPS tool

  • You need to send by SMS or WhatsApp today. Both are coming soon.
  • You need NPS inside a native iOS or Android app. We have no mobile SDK. On the web, an embed or a link does the job.
  • You want your score ranked against other SurveyRock customers. We don't publish a benchmark of our own; the range comes from published studies.

NPS, CSAT and CES together: SurveyRock for CX teams

Is there a free NPS tool?

Yes. The Free plan includes the NPS question, the score with promoters, passives and detractors, the industry range, and CSV export. It allows 100 responses a month, collected by link or QR code. Email invitations start on Solo.

Can I send NPS surveys by SMS?

Not yet. Email, links, QR codes, website embeds, and Slack or Teams messages are available today.

Can I bring in NPS history from another tool?

Yes, on every plan. Import a CSV or Excel file into a survey and map the columns to its questions. Imported answers don't count against your monthly responses.

Do you have NPS benchmarks?

We show the typical range that published industry studies report for your industry, beside your score and its margin of error. We don't publish our own benchmark.

Does it connect to HubSpot?

Yes, on Pro and up: a workflow writes the respondent's latest score to their HubSpot contact. Webhooks are on Team and up, and the API is on Solo and up.

How is NPS calculated?

The percentage of promoters (9 to 10) minus the percentage of detractors (0 to 6), on a scale from -100 to +100. The free NPS calculator works it out from your own counts.

Can I run CSAT and CES in the same tool?

Yes, on every plan. A rating question whose top point is labelled "satisfied" reports CSAT, and one labelled "easy" reports CES, or you can set either one yourself.

Start with the score. Keep going to the follow-up.
