Verifying your account
After you sign up, we email a verification link to confirm the address is yours. Here’s what to do if that step doesn’t go smoothly.
The verification link doesn’t work
Section titled “The verification link doesn’t work”You might see one of two messages, depending on what’s wrong with the link:
- “We could not read that verification link.” The link itself is malformed or missing information it needs — this usually happens if it got truncated by an email client, or you’re not opening the exact link from the email. Go back to the signup page and enter your email again; we’ll send a fresh one. Reference code:
SR-VERIFY-01. - “That verification link is no longer valid.” The link expired, or has already been used. Verification links expire after 24 hours for security. Enter your email again on the signup page and we’ll send a new one. Reference code:
SR-VERIFY-02.
Either way, requesting a new link is safe — it doesn’t create a duplicate account or affect anything you’ve already set up.
Verified, but not signed in
Section titled “Verified, but not signed in”Occasionally the verification itself succeeds — your account is confirmed — but the automatic sign-in that normally follows doesn’t take. If you see a message saying your account is verified but you weren’t signed in automatically:
Nothing is wrong with your account. Go to the sign-in page and sign in manually with your email and password. Reference code, if you need to contact us: SR-VERIFY-03.
Still stuck?
Section titled “Still stuck?”Contact support with the reference code from the error message — it tells us exactly which step failed.
